Descendants Dinner
Friday - June 16thAre you a descendant of Virginia’s enslaved community? If so, you are invited to attend a special dinner to “Dine with Descendants” at Montpelier sponsored by the Montpelier Descendants Committee (MDC), Orange County African-American Historical Society (OCAAHS) and The Montpelier Foundation (TMF).

June 17th - June 19th
Spend the day at Montpelier on Saturday, June 17th with musical presentations, specialty tours, living history interpreters, hands-on activities for children, food trucks and so much more. On Monday, June 19th gather in downtown Orange for music, storytelling and poetry from local community members.

Thursdays in June at 7 PMEvery Thursday in June, you can register to participate in discussions telling Stories from our Land, Stories from our Grandmothers, Stories from our Community, Stories from our Congregation, and Stories from our Art.
Portraying Bravery Art Contest
Deadline is June 1st for EntriesThis contest is open to all ages and skill levels, but everyone will start with the same supplies! Anyone wishing to enter can pick up their free supply kit from The Arts Center in Orange starting on Saturday, May 20th at the VMFA ArtMobile event (10am – 5pm).
